The Group is active across three main business verticals: Development (Starlight), Investment Management (NextEnergy Capital), and Asset Operations (WiseEnergy), according to an integrated partnership model focused on renewable energy investments, particularly in the solar sector.
Each entity operates within its area of expertise but collaborates closely to maximise the efficiency and profitability of the solar projects. This synergy ensures that from development to operation, the solar+ assets are managed effectively, driving returns and sustainable energy production.
The Group's action framwork is completed by NextSTEP (VC sustainability accelerator) and NextEnergy Foundation (international charity).
Starlight is the worldwide development platform under the Group. It is active across the renewable development space in multiple geographies and technologies with a current aggregated pipeline of 12 GW.
NextEnergy Capital is a leading investment manager in the global solar sector. It has launched 5 institutional funds and invested in over 500 individual solar plants with a capacity exceeding 3GW across UK, Italy, US, Portugal, Chile, Spain, Poland, Greece and India.
WiseEnergy is a leading specialist operating asset manager in the solar sector. Since its founding in 2009, WiseEnergy has provided individually tailored services across the asset life-cycle, including development, construction and operations to over 1,500 utility-scale solar power plants across the world.
NextSTEP is NextEnergy Group’s sustainable innovation accelerator, dedicated to creating and accelerating innovative start-ups focused on environmental sustainability.
NextEnergy Foundation is the Group’s charity. It has raised over £3m to date, supporting projects in 27 countries to alleviate poverty through access to renewable energy and carbon emissions reductions. As the founding sponsor of the NextEnergy Foundation, the Group has pledged at least 5% of its net annual profits to the Foundation
