Tell us a bit about yourself

I live in Hyderabad with my family, which includes my six-year-old son.

While I don’t currently have any pets, I do have a desire to own a dog someday.

In my free time, spend most of the time with family, and I enjoy listening to music and watching sci-fi movies.

What does flexible working mean to you?

Flexible working has significantly improved my efficiency and family life. By eliminating the daily commute, I save hours each day, allowing me to spend quality time with my son and engage in personal research and development.

The ability to visit the office once a month to connect with colleagues in person ensures that I maintain strong connections within the team.

What do you find challenging about flexible working, and what are the benefits?

One of the challenges of flexible working is maintaining a clear boundary between work and personal life. I manage this by carefully planning my schedule to ensure I allocate dedicated time for both work and family. The support from my management team also plays a crucial role in this balance.

Additionally, maintaining team connections and collaboration remotely can be challenging, but we address this with daily meetings and regular, engaging conversations.

The most beneficial aspect of flexible working for me is the ability to work when I’m at my best, both mentally and energetically. This flexibility boosts my productivity and enables me to manage my team more effectively.

Top tips for flexible working

Understand and Collaborate: Understand the requirements thoroughly and collaborate effectively with the team. Think twice and do once—discuss needs with the business before diving into development.

Engage in Meetings: keep meetings engaging and fun-filled to ensure everyone is attentive and comfortable.

Balance Work and Fun: conduct fun sessions and participate in events organised by the people operations team to maintain mental health and engagement.

Be Prepared for Disruptions: maintain power backups, multiple Wi-Fi connections, and a 5G network to avoid disruptions during work hours.

Motivate the Team: encourage team members by listening to their thoughts on each delivery, addressing core issues, and congratulating them on their achievements. Promote new work or research and development opportunities.

Flexible working allows us to enjoy the best of both worlds—high productivity and strong family connections. By planning schedules meticulously and maintaining open communication, I ensure that both my personal and professional lives thrive in harmony.
