NEXTogether: Our Inclusive Journey

At NextEnergy Group, inclusion is not a standalone initiative: it’s woven into how we work, collaborate, and grow. Our approach is intentionally different: rather than creating a traditional, top-down DEI strategy, we are co-creating our direction together through NEXTogether, our Group-wide journey centred on learning, curiosity, and shared responsibility.

NEXTogether reflects who we are as a business: entrepreneurial, people-driven, and committed to building a culture where every voice can influence our future.

Where We’ve Come From

Our roots are grounded in diversity.

Since the early days of NextEnergy Group, our global reach and entrepreneurial mindset have naturally attracted people with varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

Diversity has never been a target per se: it has always been part of who we are and how we work.

This is reflected in our CEO’s own journey who has experienced first-hand the richness that comes from navigating multiple cultures. As he often says, “Diversity has been a core element of my personal and professional journey.”

Where We Are Today

We are deepening our understanding of inclusion across the Group.

Instead of just focusing on metrics or yearly snapshots, we want to first concentrate on what truly matters: creating an environment where people feel they belong, can grow, and are valued for their individual contributions.

This shift is at the heart of NEXTogether, recognising that inclusion does not come from policy alone, but from everyday actions, awareness, and shared understanding.

Our DEI journey is ongoing. As we grow, evolve, and welcome new colleagues from across the world, our culture will continue to develop with us.

NEXTogether is the framework guiding us forward: a space for reflection, conversation, and co-creation. Our focus is on building long-lasting capabilities, strengthening leadership, and ensuring that our culture remains open, fair, and connected.

Our culture approach is built on two core “I”s that shape everything we do: Innovation and Inquiry.

These values also guide us in building a culture where everyone has the confidence to voice ideas, ask challenging questions, and offer feedback openly, knowing they’re in a safe space where growth is collective.

Our role as an organisation is to help people feel included, and inclusion starts with conscious everyday actions.
